Quick Game & Lobbies

Quick Game is the fastest way to play right now. Turn on Free Roam, pick your sports, and PlayMate matches you into a nearby lobby of players who want to play the same thing — then you agree on a spot and go.

On the Home or Radar tab, flip the Start Playing / Free Roam toggle. Choose one or more sports and set your search radius. PlayMate then watches for nearby players and lobbies that match.

    Tap the Free Roam toggle on Home or Radar.

    Pick the sport(s) you want to play.

  3. 3

    Set your radius (1–100 km).

  4. 4

    Watch your status update per sport.

When a match is found you're routed into a lobby — a temporary, real-time room for the players gathering for that game. You can also browse and join lobbies manually from the Radar or the lobbies list.

Every lobby has four tabs:

  • Chat — talk to everyone in the lobby in real time to sort out timing, who's bringing what, and where to meet.
  • Board — pinned notices and polls, including the meeting-point poll (below).
  • Members — everyone who's joined, with the lobby admin marked. Tap a member to open their profile.
  • Gear — claim what to bring (ball, net, bibs) so nobody shows up empty-handed.

Not sure where to meet? Open the lobby Board and create a meeting-point poll: drop a location and let everyone vote Agree or Disagree. Once the group settles on a spot, the game can start there.

Any member can tap Start Game in the lobby to turn it into a live game. Chat keeps going, participants are tracked, and you can manage gear and members from the game screen. See Games for the full game experience.

You can leave a lobby and search again at any time — Free Roam will find the next available match for your selected sports.
